New Delhi. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday on his three-day visit to India. Al-Sisi will be on a visit to India from 24 to 26 January. During this, he will participate as the chief guest in the Republic Day celebrations. This is the first time that an Egyptian President has been invited as the chief guest of the Republic Day celebrations. This is his third visit to India since 2015.

Sisi had earlier visited India in October 2015 to attend the 3rd India Africa Forum Summit and in September 2016 on a state visit. Abdel Fateh al-Sisi is visiting India at a time when Egypt is going through an economic crisis. It is surprising that many Arab countries are not helping Egypt. When India recently banned the export of wheat due to the Russia-Ukraine war, many tonnes of wheat were sent to Egypt.

Come, let’s know about Abdel Fattah Al Sisi coming as a guest of India:

Sisi is considered a very influential leader in Egypt, who stabilized the country’s political turmoil. Sisi was Egypt’s army chief before assuming the office of president. Sisi ousted the then President Mohamed Morsi from power in July 2013. Elections were held a year later and he himself became the President of Egypt. Born in 1954 in Cairo’s Gamleya area, Sisi’s family was a religious family believing in Islam. The expenses of the family used to run only on the earnings of the father, who used to do furniture work. CC was very good in studies and from the beginning he was inclined towards the army.
