The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has risen to around 28,000. A 2-month-old baby was rescued after 128 hours from under the rubble, with more than 70,000 people injured and millions left homeless. It is being considered a miracle. Turkish media reported that a two-year-old girl, a six-month pregnant woman and a 70-year-old woman were among those rescued five days after the earthquake. Despite the cold weather, thousands of rescue workers are still searching for people buried under the debris in the earthquake-hit areas. The cold weather has added to the woes of millions of people devastated by the earthquake, who are now in dire need of logistical support to eat, drink and keep themselves warm.
