According to a report by the news agency AFP, about 50 people are reported to be trapped in the Grand Diamond City Hotel in Poipet. In shocking footage from the spot, people can be seen jumping from the fifth floor. Partial collapse of the building has also been reported during this tragic accident, while firefighters later claimed about 70% control over the fire.

According to media reports, around 53 people have been rescued from the building till 8.30 am local time. People around are also supporting the officials to speed up the emergency rescue process. Reports said the fire had been burning “uncontrollably” for about six hours at the hotel and casino complex, with a video clip showing a large section of the roof still burning.
