Russia’s missile attack deepens black out in Ukraine, people are advised to save electricity and water

Kiev. Ukraine on Tuesday appealed to its people to save and spend electricity and water. In fact, on Monday, Russia carried out a horrific missile attack in various cities of Ukraine, due to which the country’s energy network has been badly damaged. Ukraine has urged people not to use household appliances such as ovens and washing machines to save electricity, in what is being described as the biggest Russian attack since the start of the war.
Power went out in several cities on Monday after Russia fired missiles at power facilities across Ukraine. Electricity department officials are trying to repair the damage. On the other hand, Kiev has started power cuts to save energy, but repair work on the power grid in the western city of Lviv was rendered useless after a new Russian missile attack on Tuesday. This grid supplies electricity to 30% of Ukraine’s population.
Meanwhile, Russia again launched air strikes on Ukraine on Tuesday. At least 19 people were killed in the attacks carried out a day earlier. After this, the Ukrainian authorities have advised people to save electricity and store water. Due to these attacks, there has been a power outage in a large part.
G-7 countries stand firmly with Ukraine
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Group of Seven Industrial Powers (G-7) via video link on Tuesday. G-7 leaders condemned the bombing of Ukraine, saying their country stood firmly with Ukraine. The leaders of the G7 country said in a statement that any use of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons by Russia would have serious consequences. The G-7 statement came after Russia’s warning that Western aid would prolong the war and add to the pain of the Ukrainian people.
At the same time, Zelensky, in his address, stressed on attacking Russia’s energy sector and demanded strict sanctions on it. He said that there can be no talks with Russia because it has no future. The President of Ukraine said that only one person is disrupting the peace and he is in Moscow.

Russia bombed power plants and civilian areas on Tuesday. He did the same on Monday. The state emergency service said one person was killed and a massive fire broke out after 12 missiles hit public places in the southern city of Zaporizhzhya. At the same time, 19 people died and 105 people were injured in the attacks on Monday. A local official said the missiles hit schools, residential buildings and hospitals.
Revenge for the blast on the bridge connecting Crimea
Russia carried out these attacks in response to a blast on a bridge connecting Russia to the Crimean peninsula. Russia annexed Ukraine to its country in 2014 over the region. Russian President Vladimir Putin alleged that Ukraine’s special service was the mastermind of Saturday’s attack on the Kerch Bridge.
At the same time, on the nuclear attack on Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow will resort to nuclear weapons only when Russia faces devastation. Talking to state TV, he alleged that Western countries were promoting false speculation about Russia’s intentions.
