The flames of this fire spread over one thousand square meters were visible from several kilometers away. While giving information, the regional governor of Irkutsk, Igor Kobzev, wrote on his Telegram channel that according to preliminary information, there is news of one person being injured in the incident.
However, reports doing the rounds on social media channels suggest that at least five people have been killed. At the same time, Russia’s Ministry of Emergencies told that a fire broke out in the gas and oil treatment plant. It is being told that due to gas leak at 11 o’clock on Sunday night local time, the plant first exploded and then the fire spread to the entire area. Giving information, the local media said that the people of the village near the plant have been shifted to another place.
