Pramukh Swamiji Maharaj Birth Centenary Celebrations Held in Australia

New Delhi. The major Swamiji Maharaj centenary celebrations were held at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. More than 7500 people were present on this occasion. A family-focused stage show by over 300 volunteers took place during the festival. In which Indian music and short stories were staged, explaining the importance of family harmony. The show was followed by aarti and fireworks.

Centenary Celebrations Utsav was organized by BAPS (Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha). Its preparations were started six months ago by 700 volunteers. Through the show, family members were taught to make life better by connecting and uniting.

BAPS spokesperson Partha Pandya said that BAPS is honored to have the presence of people in Melbourne Metropolitan and Regional Victoria today. The program has given the message of family unity and harmony by encouraging the parents to spend more time with the children and to understand each other better among the family members regularly.

Victoria Treasurer Tim Palas praised the Indian community very much. He said that the Hindu community is an important part of Victoria. Your history, your culture and your sacrifices have helped shape the modern Victoria we know today”.

This event is being organized on the occasion of 100th birth centenary of Pramukh Swamiji Maharaj, the fifth successor of Lord Swaminarayan. His life and work have reflected the principles of family unity. He is the creator and motivator of over 50 community and spiritual centers across Australia. Due to his contribution, all the communities of Australia have come together.
