PHOTOS: Ecuador and Peru rocked by earthquake, massive devastation with loss of life and property

The US Geological Survey reported a magnitude 6.8 earthquake, which was centered off the Pacific coast about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of Guayaquil, Ecuador’s second largest city, according to news agency AP. One of the victims died in Peru, while 14 others were killed in Ecuador, where officials also said at least 400 people were injured.
