Bali. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday addressed the G20 summit in Bali via video address. He said that the time has come to end Russia’s ‘destructive’ war and save thousands of lives. He said that I am convinced that now is the time when the Russian war of destruction must and can be stopped. It will save thousands of lives.

Wearing his now familiar army green T-shirt and speaking in Ukrainian, Zelensky addressed leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden, according to news agency AFP. In this conference, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has been sent to Bali in his place.

Referring to Putin’s black rhetoric, Zelensky said that Russia resorted to the threat of nuclear weapons. This has also made Beijing uncomfortable. He said that there can be no excuse for nuclear blackmail. Thank you for clarifying this clearly except the ‘G19’ Russia. The Ukrainian leader also called for an indefinite extension of the grain deal with the United Nations and Turkey, which expires on 19 November.

Ukraine is one of the world’s top grain producers, and the Russian invasion blocked 20 million tonnes of grain in its ports until the July deal. Urging expansion to other ports, Zelensky said, “I believe our export grain initiative deserves an indefinite extension.” It doesn’t matter when the war ends. The Ukrainian leader also accused Russia of trying to turn the cold into a weapon with a campaign of attacks against key infrastructure ahead of the coming winter.
