A meeting of CPN-UML, CPN-MC, Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and other smaller parties led by former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was held here. In the meeting, all the parties agreed to form the government under the leadership of ‘Prachanda’. CPN-MC general secretary Deb Gurung said that the CPN-UML, CPN-MC and other parties are ready to go to the President’s Office ‘Sheetal Niwas’ and submit their candidature for the post of Prachanda under Article 76(2) of the Constitution with signatures of 165 MPs. Huh. Gurung told that a memorandum of understanding is also being prepared for handing over to the President.

An agreement has been reached between Prachanda and Oli to lead the government alternately (on the basis of rotation) and Oli has expressed his consent to make Prachanda the first Prime Minister. The new coalition has the support of 165 members in the 275-member House of Representatives, including 78 from the CPN-UML, 32 from the CPN-MC, 20 from the RSP, 14 from the RPP, 12 from the JSP, six from Janmat and three from the Civil Liberation Party. members are included.
