Edinburgh, A very shocking incident has come to light in Glasgow, Scotland, where a man tried to rob his own son at knife point. The masked man who tried to rob the teenager was unaware that he was his own son. According to a BBC report, a 45-year-old man targeted a boy in November 2022 at an ATM in Cranhill, Glasgow. The 17-year-old son had used a cash machine (ATM) near his house to withdraw £10.
When the boy put his card in his pocket and took out money from the machine, his neck was stuck to the wall. The boy saw that a big knife was kept on his face. According to prosecutor Carrie Stevens, the robber asked the victim to hand over the money. The victim immediately recognized his father by voice and eyes. The boy then asked his father, ‘Do you know who I am?’
The assailant said he didn’t care, then the teen pulled down the snood to reveal his face to his father. However, when the boy asked what were you doing, the father said that he was desperate. On this the boy fled from the spot and informed his family members about the incident and called the police. Later the robber was arrested and he confessed his crime. The accused accepted the charge of attempting to rob his son. Sheriff Andrew Cubby told the court that this was an extraordinary incident. The court sentenced the father of the robber to 26 months in jail.
