Vaux-en-Velin (France). On Friday, 10 people, including five children, were burnt to death in an apartment located on the outskirts of the city of Lyon, France. French officials gave this information. He told that the cause of the fire is being investigated. The administrator of the Rhône region said 14 people were injured in the blaze in the small suburb of Vaux-en-Velin, four of them seriously. About 170 firefighters have been sent to control the fire.

The fire started around 3 am. The fire has been brought under control. An Associated Press reporter at the scene noted that several fire engines were present and security had been beefed up in the area. Vaulx-en-Velin is a town of 43,000 people in one of the poorer areas of the Rhône region. French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has termed the horrific fire incident as “a blow”. He said that he would visit the city sometime. Vaux-en-Velin is 470 kilometers southeast of Paris.

Darmanin was in Lyon on Friday to present a security plan for Sunday’s final match between Argentina and France. Darmanin will be accompanied by Interior Minister Olivier Klein during his visit to Vaux-en-Velin.
