Bucharest, Controversial social media star, Andrew Tate, was arrested in Romania on Friday as part of an investigation into a human trafficking case along with his brother Tristan Tate. According to a report by news agency ANI, the agency formed to investigate organized crime and terrorism in Bucharest has arrested Andrew Tate. Citing Romanian news outlet Libertea, the agency said that the house was searched on Thursday in connection with the abduction of two girls.

According to UK-based Sports Bible, former kickboxer Tate is famous for his controversial behavior on social media. Tate had 76 wins and nine losses in his kickboxing career. The social media influencer was recently in news after he got into a heated argument with Swedish activist Greta Thunberg on Twitter, which later went viral. According to the New York Post, Tate, who is known for his many misogynistic comments, started the argument over her contribution to pollution by tagging Thunberg in a tweet about her 33 vehicles and their emissions.

Trolling Greta on Twitter, Tate wrote, “Hello @GretaThunberg I have 33 cars. My bugatti has the w16 8.0L quad turbo. Two of my Ferrari 812 Competition have 6.5L v12s. This is only the beginning. Please provide your email address so that I can send you a complete list of my car collection and their associated heavy emissions.”
