Cambodian PM tests positive for coronavirus after hosting ASEAN summit, returns from G20 meeting

New Delhi: A big and worrying news has come to the fore amidst the meeting of G20 countries held in Bali, Indonesia. Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen has become corona. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Tuesday that his corona report has come positive. Hun Sen has been infected with Corona at a time when he hosted an ASEAN meeting of several other world leaders including Joe Biden in Nampenh a few days ago.
In his Facebook post, the Cambodian Prime Minister said that his corona report was found positive on Monday night and has been confirmed by Indonesian doctors. He said that he will not attend the G20 meeting and he is coming back to Cambodia. Not only this, he will also not participate in the APEC Economic Forum in Bangkok.
Let us tell you that recently the ASEAN summit was organized in Cambodia, which concluded on Sunday. During this, the Cambodian PM had met with many leaders of other countries around the world. Apart from US President Joe Biden, the meeting was attended by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and many others.
G20 summit begins
Let us tell you that the annual G20 summit started on Tuesday in Bali province of Indonesia, in which many world leaders are participating. The conference will discuss the challenges posed by the Kovid-19 global epidemic and Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Before the summit officially started, Indonesian President Joko Widodo welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the venue.
