Kyiv, At least three people have been killed in a helicopter crash near a kindergarten outside the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Those killed include Interior Minister Denis Monastirsky and his deputy. Kirylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential office, was quoted as saying by news agency Reuters that the plane went down in the town of Brovary, about 20 kilometers northeast of Kiev, while children and staff were inside the kindergarten. At the same time, media reports citing the police department of the Kyiv region said that at least three people have been killed, while at least five people have been injured.
Local media, citing a police spokesman, said those killed included Interior Minister Denis Monastirsky and his deputy. At the same time, the head of the Kyiv regional administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, said on his Telegram channel that all students and staff have been taken out of the building. He said that police and doctors are working at the accident site.
