CBD is a chemical found in hemp and marijuana plants. It is non-psychoactive, which means it will not make you feel like a dangerous drug. It is often used to reduce stress and anxiety. But last June, a draft law banning CBD was introduced by Hong Kong lawmakers and became effective on February 1. Under the new law, a provision has been made for seven years in prison and a fine of 1 million Hong Kong dollars (Rs 1,04,31,875) for possessing and consuming CBD. Under the new law, a provision has been made for life imprisonment in the manufacture, import or export of CBD. Even tourists have been included in this law. The government has warned people not to buy it or bring it to Hong Kong.
