He further said that I have seen last year also how much progress we have made within a few weeks. We conducted two important military exercises in Australia in which the Indian Army took part. Jaishankar said that perception, the relevance of each country to each other and the shared ability of two countries to contribute to the betterment of the region have become important factors in relations today.

It is to be known that America, India and many other powers of the world are talking about the need to ensure that the Indo-Pacific is free, free and prosperous. This is happening in the backdrop of China’s increasing military aggression in the region.

S Jaishankar further said that now, overall one thing I want to tell you is that both the countries have recognized the strength of our relationship in many ways and started taking it very seriously. The External Affairs Minister also discussed about the India Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement.

He said that I want to tell you that the process of adopting ECTA is actually going on. We are confident that by the end of this year or early next year, we will be in a position to introduce a new economic framework. This will be helpful in taking our cooperation forward to the fullest potential.
