The National Center for Seismology reported that the intensity of the earthquake was 4.7 on the Richter scale, whose epicenter was 285 km east-northeast of Faizabad, Afghanistan. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), a 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in the capital Kabul at 1:40 am on March 7, which was at a depth of 136 km. Earlier, on March 2, an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred in the Faizabad region of Afghanistan at 2:35 pm.

An earthquake of 3.8 magnitude occurred in Kutch on February 27 this year as well.
